Project Description

Johnson Bathroom – Completed August 2017

The Johnson bathroom was modified to accommodate wheelchair access to the shower. The side tiled wall was opened to the adjacent walk-in closet and a small ramp installed. The shower walls and floors were retiled and Ms. Johnson can now access her shower through the closet opening. In order to allow wheelchair access to the vanity area, the door and casing was removed, the drywall was cut back to the adjacent walls, and a drywall opening was finished and painted. This project resulted in a cost-effective solution providing comfortable functionality for a person with a disability.
